SMOKE GLACKEN descends from the great Mr. Prospector by way of his son Two Punch. Two Punch was a stakes winner and has been a tremendous success at stud. Smoke Glacken's female family traces back to Turn Capp, a multiple stakes winner of 20 races. Turn Capp is the dam of three stakes winners including Say Capp, who was a nine time winner and three-time stake winner. Northern Dancer is also an influential sire seen in Smoke Glacken's pedigree. With all the traces of great race-producing blood in this horse's pedigree, it is no doubt he will be a great stud for all his years. From his first 2 seasons, Smoke Glacken has already recieved many many admirers with all the winners he has produced so far!
For the past year I have been conducting an experiment with breedings to my star stallion. The first filly thrown by him was a stakes winner her 1st time out and defeated seasoned GI stakes horses her 2nd time out. This filly was a granddaughter of the great Cozzene. I saw the magic with this Smoke Glacken/Cozzene cross and decided to see how it would turn out. I bought as many Cozzene and Caro mares I could find and had them bred to Smokey. Unfortunately, I was unable to keep track of the way they ran since I quit for a while. If you have any information on how these progeny have run, please LMK ASAP! Thanks!

Smoke Glacken Ran a total of 14 races before a much anticipated retirement to stud. Of these 14 races, Smoke Glacken ran easy firsts in 10, and was undefeated in all of his races at his favorite distance, 6 Furlongs. When he wasn't winning, he was placing. Smokey Glacken was only off the board once in his career and never again. He placed a total of 2 times and showed once, winning a gross amount of $759,560.

With those kind of wins, how could you dobt him? Smoke Glacken was 1997 Eclipse Award Winning Sprinter Champion, and his offspring have been nominated for many different Eclipse Categories.

I believe Smoke Glacken's greatest achievments will come while at Stud. After only 2 seasons at stud, he has already sired many winning foals. He was by far the leading freshman sire by percentage, with only one of his foals not winning a stakes race, And she was stakes-placed!!
